Smartphones
In the article "Your smartphone is a pain in the neck" they have been explaining how your posture and the way you look at your smartphone may be causing what they call text neck. They have different doctors and therapist studying multiple people. Like Dr. Fishman had a patient that came in because of a headache and neck pain. He was examing the young teen and noticed that the way she was sitting looking at her smartphone may have been causing the problem. They also have a therapist Dr. DIAngelis saying that this may be causing other problems but her main question is what is going to be the long term effects of this. Then they say that people are using the media entertainment for 7 and a half hours sitting in the same position is not making it better. However they say that if you get up every 20 mins and stretch your shoulders and neck it may prevent you from getting sore necks and headaches. I feel that this is a piece of information that every teen that has a cellphone should read. Because they need to know why they may be getting headaces and crinks in their necks. I myself have experiened these symptons and agree that they are every bad. After reading this it makes me kind of want to stop texting so much even though that probably isnt going to happen.
